Data · AI · Software for Science

I help R&D teams turn complex scientific ideas into practical software, combining data science, AI, and modeling expertise with a hands-on engineering approach. My focus is on making advanced computation accessible, intuitive, and reliable for real-world use.

About

I started out in theoretical physics and earned a PhD in astroparticle physics and cosmology. I liked computation, I liked simulations, I liked stats. Looking for more tangible problems, I moved into biology and found a whole world of questions that needed better computational tools. That pulled me into data science and machine learning, especially where mechanistic models weren’t possible. I also discovered that I enjoy building tools for scientists just as much as understanding the science itself.

Since then I’ve built data pipelines, analysis frameworks and scientific software for researchers and engineers. My physics background still shapes how I think — I want structure, clarity and models that explain, not just predict — and my execution is that of a software engineer: clean, reliable, reproducible. I use that mix to build systems that make complex work clearer, faster and easier to build on.
